Hathron stands a little over six
feet tall, and is solidly built. Helmet-length hair covers his head,
and a moustache adorns his lip. No sigil or crest is found on any of
his armour or weapons; indeed, they look plain but serviceable. The
exception to this is his bastard sword- it has the quiet look of
quality that proclaims the hand of a master smith. It is hard to tell
how strong he is, as he not given to showing of feats of power, but
none have ever seen him falter from wearing a full suit of chain
through a hard day's ride, always as though the gods built him with a
spear instead of a spine. He carries a medium shield, and when garbed
for war bears a sheath of javelins.
Hathron speaks with the accent of the docks of Marsembor, and more than one phrase of the sea has passed his lips. The only stories of his past that he tells are ones with lessons to them. He never aggrandises his role, and will use his own mistakes of the past to teach his men. From these fragments, it seems that Hathron has been in an organised military since before he needed to shave. He has told stories of fighting pirates from naval vessels, and recounted the marches of the Horde Wars, when he joined the Order of the Golden Way.
It is known that he has travelled with Helix in the past, to places far beyond the ken of most. When asked about these travels by the youngest of his lads, he will say that there was nothing to be learned there for a soldier man. He has faced death once already, and was brought back by the temple of Llira here in Hill's Edge. He fought in both wars of Hill's Edge, and served with the former mayor Chan Legermain.Hathron is played by Brian Hiestand.
"Well met, I am Mourn Blackhand,
Bladesinger and devoted follower of Eilistraee." The elf says as
he looks over the group. He is young and slim, but muscular. His skin
is bleach white as is his long braided hair. His eyes are blue with
gold flecks. Covering his eyes is what seems to be a gold tattoo of a
scorpion's tale. It winds down the side of his face and disappears
into his black shirt. You notice that everything he carries is black
or silver in colour. His clothes as well as his sword look fancy and
well made. He looks very clean and neat as if dirt doesn't touch him.
You also notice a small gold scorpion tattoo on his left hand the
opposite side that his sword hangs from. You have seen it glow in
battle. Our former companion Elvanshala called down the blessing of
Eilistraee on it at the outset of the journey. Sometimes Mourn wears
studded leather armour.
Mourn's history: Mourn belongs to the Scorpion clan of bladesingers. He worships Eilistraee (lesser goddess) of song, dance, swordwork, hunting. He is from Evereska on the border of Anaurach.
Mourn is the last of a long line of Blackhands who have always been Bladesingers throughout history. They received their name first because even among Bladesingers they were deadly , second and even more important, because they were called to hunt down any renegade bladesingers or any non-elf who knew very much about bladesinging.
Mourn has no family left. His mother was killed by a renegade Bladesinger. He and his father tracked him from Evereska to Skullport. There they were ambushed by the renegade and his associates. Mourn was severely injured and left for dead. His father was killed. He was found by a Priestess of Eilistraee and nursed back to health, while being taught of the Dark Maiden. Mourn accepted her worship fully and because he has no ties except for his clan, he now devotes his whole existence to Eilistraee.
Mourn at a loss for what to do and growing tired of relying on the Priestesses for support joined the Black Company to try and make the world a better place as well as to give glory to Eilistraee.
Mourn is played by Wayne Kostencki.
Knight Thand Belgor is a bit short for a human but he is solidly built to counter his short stature. His blonde locks are cut into a short military style and his brilliant blue eyes shine like a pair of sapphires. He wears red-hued platmail with a longsword belted at his side.
Over his heart is a drawing of a silver clenched armoured fist, his shield has the same drawing on it but on a larger scale with a black background. Around his neck on a silver necklace is a ruby gem carved into the shape of horse chess piece with stars for eyes.
Thand is open about his past and answers anyone that asks questions. From what has been learned, Thand is the 3rd son of Baron Belgor of the Iron Fist. The barony is located in the Fields of the Dead but is relatively small. Thand was sent at an early age to the Citadel near Baldur's Gate. Thand found that he had a calling and entered the brotherhood of the Red Knight. He became a priest of the Red Knight and wears Her symbol on a silver chain around his neck.
Thand's official title within the priesthood is ‘Knight’, as well as he is a ‘Knight’ in the secular world, having been knighted by the Prince of Degwany. He rides upon a huge warhorse named Farshal, a gift from his father, who wears chain barding. Thand can be seen often grooming and caring for his horse, it is apparent that he holds him to be quite dear. It has been said that Thand has been known to stare at people and be able to discern what are their strengths and weaknesses. It seems uncanny, but since Thand has used this knowledge to help the troops improve their fighting skill, the troops have dismissed it to being something priestly in nature. Thand has grown in the power of his faith, gaining several new abilities that help him devise tactics and strategy for the Black Guard.
Thand is quite handsome but doesn't seem to devote much time to women since his love Alanna was killed by the Black Guard’s nemesis the Drow Priestess-Bitch. Thand has started to spend time with Lianna, a priestess of Helm, but they seem to be just friends.
Thand is played by Alex Corbin.
Just slightly under
six feet in height, Jareds less then heavy build
accentuates the height he has. Though he has not the size nor
strength, Jared was gifted with attractive features and a natural
grace and fluidity of motion. His dark brown hair, once long
enough to hang below the collar on his shirts, is cut just below
his ears, framing a narrow face darkly tanned from exposure to
the sun. Set within that face, his eyes are a shade lighter than
this hair, though oft times his eyes are hidden in the shadows
created by the wide brimmed, white plumed, black felt hat he
wears. He wears on his left pinkie finger a small silver band,
which he never takes off. Jared commonly dons a dark navy
baladrana, which covers him from his shoulders to his knees. When
this heavy cloak is not on his body, or is open, the remainder of
his attire might be seen. He wears a white linen shirt, with
bloused sleeves, gathered cuffs, an open collar, and capelet.
Over this shirt, under the capelet, Jared shows a vest of
brocaded velvet, either jet black with silver thread or azure
with silver thread. As he favours velvet, his cannons are
brocaded velvet also, usually black or tan. On his feet, Jared
wears a pair of black leather boots, with the high flaps turned
down. His primary weaponry rests sheathed on his black leather
swordbelt, along with a pair of deerskin gloves, dyed black. The
polished basket hilt of a steel rapier shines in the sunlight,
and a matching main-gauche rests in a sheath on Jareds
right hip. His only other visible weaponry can be seen in each of
his boots; the hilt of a dagger is visible above the turned down
flaps.
On his horse Jared keeps other weapons; two wheelock pistols are in holsters strapped to the saddle, as is a sheathed sabre. Coiled around the pommel of the saddle is Jareds other weapon, a long bullwhip.
Born in the city of Calaunt, on Greengrass of 1343DR, Jared was the youngest of four children, and the only boy of the group. His father was a guardsman in service to the city, and his mother a singer in her fathers inn. The family lived in that inn with her father, helping to run the day to day affairs of the business while Rean, Jareds father, patrolled with his unit.
As the youngest, Jared often had the time to sit and listen to his mother as she sang or accompanied the occasional bard with her harp as he told a tale. In this spare time, Jared learned how to play the harp and sing, as he was exposed to both on a daily basis.
So passed the first twelve years of Jareds life, fairly uneventfully, as he carried water from the well, took customers to their rooms, or any of the other menial tasks he was assigned. Whenever Rean would return from duty, however, he sought to teach Jared the art of the long blade and shield, as Jared was his only son. But, Jared managed only rudimentary skill with the blade by the age of sixteen. During the summer of his sixteenth year, Jareds aged grandfather passed away, leaving the inn to his daughter, Elhanna, and her husband. With the increased work in the inn, Rean retired from the guard, hanging his silver sword, Jareds namesake, above the mantle in the taproom. It was around this time that Jared began to spend more and more time away from the family inn and more time in the rowdy taverns of the city. Jared will admit that it was because his father began to wear on him, that after sixteen years of seeing the man only occasionally, he couldnt handle the strict discipline that Rean desired of his children, Jared in particular.
In the festhalls and taverns of the city, the travelling bards stories of their journeys made him think about what his future was to be if he stayed in the city of Calaunt. So, Jared began spending more time away from his family, often disappearing for weeks at a time within the walls of the city. Sometimes he would simply sit and listen to adventurers stories, other times he would delight crowds with his voice and his skill with the harp. It was during this forays into the city that Jared began to learn more of showmanship, of juggling, tumbling, and gaming. He would support himself during these weeks with his skill in the dagger, winning more than enough coin in contests of dagger throwing.
Annoyed by his son's less than ambitious lifestyle, Rean asked Jared to make a decision. He would either work at the inn, or have to set out on his own. Jared decided to set out on his own, bidding his family farewell. Travelling south, he met a young paladin of Torm while in Tantras, and the two fast became friends.
Crossing the Sea of Fallen Stars, they met a priestess of Sune Firehair in the city of Tilverton. She enlisted their aid in freeing her friend, an elven wizardess, who was held captive in a bandit camp bordering the Anauroch desert. The task successful, the four moved westward, passing through the Storm Horn Mountains, and they joined a caravan in the city of Iriaebor. They served as a guard for the caravan for almost a year, travelling from Iriaebor to Westgate, next Elturel, and then returning to Iriaebor. Hearing rumours of witches in the North, the four moved on to Soubar, only to find the witches were said to inhabit the Misty Forest, not the Forest of Wyrms as they were led to believe.
Still following the road north, the four were accosted during the night by a raiding party of ogres and half-orcs. One of the half-orcs attacked using a whip, which, after killing the half-orc, Jared used to ensnare the ogre that was trying to smash Amaena, the priestess, with a tree trunk. Practicing on the cold nights of camp, Jared became fairly adept at using the bullwhip by the time the company reached the Misty Forest.
Unfortunately, a 'couple of witches' turned out to be a covey of four. The group had no trouble destroying the first hag, who had made her abode in a huge tree. It was the second hag, a Sea Hag, that did Jared in. A wayward glance proved to be the death of the young man, as the glare of the ugly beast killed him before he could take another step. The paladin, priestess and wizardess killed the hag, then took their slain companion to Waterdeep. After being turned away at the Temple of Beauty, they were able to find aid at the Tower of Luck, the temple of Tymora. With lightened purses, but high spirits, Jared was raised. He was vehement in his desire to see the witches slain, so the four set off again.
Again, misfortune took the life of Jared. After destroying the third hag, the party encountered a lair of illusions. Jared, first to enter one chamber became locked within. He searched for a release lever, and finding one, pulled it. Pulling the lever released the trap in the ceiling, a rock slide. The force of the rocks burst open the door, and the others searched through the rubble to find Jared. With the paladin swearing that justice would be served, he set off to find the witch, as the women took Jared from the lair. They waited, and the paladin emerged victorious.
Returning to Waterdeep, the priest would not take coin nor barter to cast the spell, instead requiring that if successful, Jared would serve the Tower of Luck for a period of three years. Once cast, Jared was revived, and although saddened that he was in servitude, Jared as a man of honour saw to his duty. As a parting gift, Amaena gave Jared the small gemstone with an enchantment of continual light, and a small silver ring that would only fit on the smallest of his fingers.
Once the three years had ended, Jared wandered the streets of Waterdeep, mainly without purpose. He honed his abilities with the harp, including his voice in a show that brought in enough money to live fairly well. He fought duels with those who insulted them, and generally lived a day to day existence.
Signing on with the company, Jared was placed in charge of the fifth division. Originally satisfied to simply play the harp and fight with short blades, Jared has put away his gilded harp, playing only occasionally, and focused on his skill with the rapier.
Jared is played by Shawn Lewandowski.
A plain looking sort
of fellow with rugged features on a strong face, Shillastimir
greyish/green hazel eyes and brown hair, nearly shoulder length.
Sometimes he wears it in a pony tail, at others it falls free,
concealing his ears. If not for the barely pointed ears, most
people would never even guess that Shillastimir is half elven.
Physically, he appears quite strong and more than a little bulky.
He sports a suit of studded leather armour worn over his
leathers. A short cloak completes the outfit. Two swords grace
his hips, while a beautifully crafted long bow is every handy.
One of the swords appears to be silver and has very interesting
craftsmanship. A large beige dog with a curly tail like a husky
is always near his side. It has a friendly look and a wagging
tail, but large teeth just the same. All in all, he looks the
rugged outdoorsman.
History: I was born in Waterdeep as the son of a whore. My father was an elven noble who had a weakness for humans. He left my mother with a gold locket, not knowing that she bore his child. I wear this locket, inside of which is my mother's picture. My mother worked in the red light district until I was twelve. She then fell in love with and married a ranger who was passing through town and moved to the Dalelands. Her husband treated me well and taught me all that I know of the woods. They live there still. Near our home is an elven community that looked upon me favourably, as I have performed services for them over the years. As a result I have been taken with their religion.
It should come as no surprise that
I took for my own a litter of half blink half elven dogs that the
elves did not want. Although I am looked upon with favour, elves
believe very strongly in the purity of breeding. When the litter was
born, they intended on killing them. I took them home where they help
my step father mind the farm. One in particular has become my
favourite and we travel everywhere together, Bobo.
From my upbringing, or more perhaps from my elven father, I developed a desire for travel and adventure.
My first love is always the Dalelands. Never have I found people with such a spirit of independence and love for freedom. I began my adventuring career fighting against the Zhents. While doing so, I was captured by them and force to engage in a job for them. My colleagues and and managed to escape. Even so, I have a special place in my heart for the Zhentarim or any aligned with them. More precisely, I have would like to put something special in their heart, my blade.
While on one adventure, I and my friends wound up being transported to a far off city called Raven's bluff. Slowly and determinedly we made our way back. On this trip, we discovered that on a previous adventure we had accidentally released an evil witch and she was now hunting us down for only we possessed the magic key that could lock her away again. We have never seen her face although we know her laugh.
Shortly after this we made it back to the Dalelands only to find that one of my friends had received an urgent request from his old teacher asking for help. Unfortunately, this teacher lived in a city so far away I couldn't even conceive of the distance. Zhakara, in the land of Al Qadim. We journeyed to Waterdeep where as a member of a mages guild we could buy magical passage to this place.
Fortunately, everything turned out well, although my friends opted to stay while I desired to travel back to a more familiar place. Besides, I had a desire to visit the city of my birth again, Waterdeep. It was there that an advertisement for a campaign caught my eye. Although late to the signup, the units were already formed, I was able to obtain a post as a scout. Thus began the current chapter of my history, The Company of the Black Hand.
Quickly I was assigned a half unit of men to help with the scouting. In my spare time I trained them in what woodlore I could. A young lad by the name of Tye was the fastest learner among them. I also took up the responsibility of being the company chaplain. Well, as our commander Helix might be prone to agree, I am sometimes called long on morals and short on sense. After a significant difference of moral opinion, I broke away and half of the company joined with me, much to my shock. Despite what Helix might think, I did not mean to split the ranks.
To make a long story short, we all worked out our differences and learned a great deal about each other. For now, we are on our way to Hill's Edge to complete our secret mission. Of course I wonder how secret it is with every stranger that rides up to us asking to join us in our mission.
Shillastimir is played by Chris Duignan.
Although Marik dresses as a native of the
northern realms, with black hard riding boots, grey tunic and
breeches, and a navy blue cloak, his bronzed complexion and shaved
head makes him stand out when he does not have his cowl on. He is
obviously from one of the mystical realms in the south of Faerun.
Although he does not wear the stereotypical garb of a mage (eg. robe and pointy hat) the lack of any melee weapons on his person and the presence of several pouches from which he draws various substances, a dagger, and a blowgun suggest that he actually is a mage. He has a slender face with a slightly aquiline nose, piercing eyes with black pupils, cheeks that are a little hollowed, and he almost always maintains a calm, expressionless air. Nothing seems to excite him or distress him although he always expresses some interest whenever a situation comes up in which he may use his magic and/or acquire some. He is generally aloof and usually comes across as being fairly arrogant and critical of others.
History: Marik always seems reluctant to tell anyone of his background. At least he does not offer the information and all personal questions addressed to him are answered very bluntly with little, if any, elaboration. It is difficult to tell whether he is trying to hide something or whether he is just an extremely private person. However, once he gets to know people better, he does begin to reveal a little more of himself.
Marik is a native of the southern realm of Mulhorand, a land where the gods walk among men and even the slaves are arrogant since, after all, they are the slaves of gods. He is the only child of a fairly wealthy Mulhorandi merchant family. As a child he would often travel in caravans throughout the Old Empires, Chondath, Aglarond, the Coastal Cities, and the lands around the Goldenwater to the south, lands only known in legends to natives of the northern realms... or not known at all. During his early adolescence he began to instruct himself in magic without a mentor. He did not get too far that way, however, and eventually enrolled at the College of Gheldaneth where he attended the School of Wizardry, which was run by the priesthood of Thoth, the Mulhorandi god of magic. His intention was to complete the necessary studies in magic to eventually begin studies in priesthood and join the priesthood of Thoth. This plan never came to fruition though because of the excessive politicization of the various priesthood's in Mulhorand. Marik became disgusted with their pettiness and considered it responsible for Mulhorand's present state of decline. He decided he wanted to do something to return Mulhorand to its former splendour. He left Mulhorand and the School of Wizardry in order to find something that could help him, perhaps some magic or something that could knock some sense into Mulhorand. His travels have brought him to the northern realms. Despite his disgust with the situation in Mulhorand, Marik still has bouts of extreme nostalgia for his homeland.
Marik Veer is played by Stephan Minnich.

Thand is played by Alex Corbin.
A half-elven gypsy by birth and a bard by profession Antonio dresses in riotous colours whenever possible. He carries a beautiful rapier, 2 wheelocks and a bandolier of expensive ornate knives though they very rarely see action. Born near the city of Greyhawk, on another world, Antonio grew up befriending creatures of the wild as well people of the city. An accomplished Spelljammer helmsman Antonio's extreme wits, charm, and good looks have gotten him into more women trouble on more worlds so far than many men see their entire lives. Since being found by the Guard amid the rubble of a downed spelljammer Antonio has managed to acquire a hippogriff and continue to roam the skies. A large red-green parrot dubbed Asapha who Antonio treats more as a friend than a pet also accompanies him. Usually happy, cheerful, and distressed by being in a battle the bard has been hard and cold since being charmed and enraptured by an undead spirit in Waterdeep which was driven off by the other officers. With the help of his aerial comrades and a few bits of magic Antonio assumes the role of long range scout and aerial fire support for the Guard. While he takes his duties seriously he sometimes fails to understand the responsibilities that come with being an officer causing Hathron no end of headaches.
Antonio is played by Chad Steinhausser.
Sebrilinde is tall, thin, and
rather beautiful, seemingly ill-suited for the life of a
mercenary. She carries herself with the pride of the noble born when
she knows others are watching, but occasionally, when she doesn't
realise anyone is observing her, she can be seen to loosen her
confident posture. Her long black hair and dark skin make her
beautiful hazel eyes seem bright, almost shining. Although she gives
the initial appearance of being proper, she has shown that she doesn't
mind getting down and getting her hands dirty, so to speak, and is
outspoken enough to easily demonstrate her independent spirit and
sharp, often biting, wit.
Sebrilinde does not often talk of her life prior to joining the Black Guard. She has mentioned growing up in an orphanage in Ithal Pass in Tethyr. She met some of her family several years back, but she has indicated that they no longer have any contact with her and is generally closed mouth about the whole situation.
Until recently, Sebrilinde went by the name Candy. After returning from a two month stay in Eilistraee's Promanade under Waterdeep, she announced that she had been called to the Dark Maiden's priesthood and now had a new name in Eilistraee's service. She now bears a silvery longsword etched with symbols of the priesthood.
Sebrilinde is played by Leslie White.
This young human male has the somewhat naive
face of youth, and yet a certain air of dignity and pride. Eoghan has
a ruddy young face, dark hair, and green or hazel eyes - no one can
tell for sure, and they have been known to change in shade from time
to time. He appears to be of average height and build, although he
displays that hint of a muscular build which is so common for healthy
strong young men of the day.
Eoghan mac Gabraìn is the only son of Gabraìn mac Diarmad, the head of the "an Tòisich" family of the island of Moray in the Moonshaes. Gabraìn is also the "chief" of the Cantrev of Earra-Ghaidheal, a small community lying deep in the Shannyth Valley. The an Tòisich family has been impoverished for several generations, but has retained its noble status as one of the ancient ruling families of Moray. Eoghan's immediate family includes his mother, Ealasaid, and his two older sisters, Mairead and Seonag.
Eoghan is out to restore/earn his family's wealth. His father has given him or bought him (with what little cash the family has) what he needs to begin his adventure. Gabraìn gave Eoghan a helmet which was captured from a Northman raider long ago, and which is now a family heirloom. He even allowed Eoghan to take his horse, Teàrlach, and his guard dog, a moorhound named Drogo. Eoghan has vowed to return one day to Moray and his family, with the resources necessary to restore his family to its ancient place of power and honour among the nobles of Moray, and to bring prosperity to the people of Earra-Ghaidheal.
Eoghan is played by Ryan Crisp.
Alwyna is a slender,
brawny woman with a boyish figure, long, flaxen hair and piercing blue
eyes. Though not particularly pretty or beautiful she has the spark of
charisma that marks a good leader. She wears silvery blue chain and a
blue cloak with silver stars to show her devotion to the goddess
Mystra; a heavy mace is dangling from her side, speaking of some
experience in combat. A star medallion of the Lady Mystery adorns her
neck, and a simple blue cap tops her head.
Alwyna hails from Saerloon in Sembia and has travelled for three years before reaching this place. She left her home because she could no longer stand the cloistered atmosphere of the Saerloonian temple, and because she really likes meeting new people. Now, she wanders about and spreads the good word of the Mystran faith.
Her travels have taken Alwyna to Cormyr and through the Western Heartlands, before she finally reached the city of Waterdeep. She doesn't know anything about the 'City of Splendours' and feels quite lost (and she isn't too proud or shy to admit it).
Alwyna is played by Sascha Kriewel.
Devon Marek, which she pronounces "DEE vahn
MAIR-ek", is from Espar in Cormyr. She is about average height,
and while stronger than average, she is not overly muscular. She has
short black hair which she's been letting grow out and dark blue eyes. She tends to wear dark clothing,
usually black, which accentuates her pale skin. Devon wears chain in
battle and favors the bastard sword. She rides a loaner warhorse from the
Helmite church. Devon wears a tabard
with the symbol of Helm emblazoned on it. The same symbol also appears
on her shield.
Of herself, Devon will readily disclose that her father is a priest of Helm back in Espar, and her mother a minstrel. She has an older brother who's now a Watcher for Helm. Her last company disbanded due to financial mismanagement. Devon is usually quite reserved, bordering on the unemotional at times. She was raised by a priest of Helm and has many of the values of his followers, including a fervent belief in the benefit of planning and preparation. When she does unbend, it's usually a fairly dramatic change, her straight-laced demeanor all but disappearing. Devon, Dee-Dee to her close friends and family, has been known to sing (well, luckily) when prodded and a tad drunk.
Devon Marek is played by Julie.
Denerlian wears a green hooded cloak and a well oiled suit of chainmail. His black riding boots are shiny and his tussled hair hangs loosely from his brow. An electrum lain bracer is fastened to his right arm. The bracer denotes a griffin fighting a dragon. His face is open and trusting with hazel eyes. His brown hair lines a worn face, a face aged harshly in the sun and the outdoors life. He is otherwise adorned with a short bow over one shoulder, and a Bastard Sword hanging from a belt at his side, trailing down the side of his 5'10" frame. Denerlian's past is a bit of a mystery, he talks of coming from another mercenary company where he learned how these bands work but not much else. He talks of Selune most reverently, only saying that she guided him out of a tight spot one day and he's been hers ever since. The only place he admits to coming from is "up north somewhere".
Dernerlian is played by Peter Meadows
Bruil Esryk is a bulky man with broad shoulders, thick neck, and a bulging midsection. Bruil is seldom seen in civilian garb as he almost constantly wears heavy chainmail covering his arms and legs that blends underneath a metal breastplate. The military countenance tends to still questions about his marred body. A partially sunken skull and two missing fingers on his left hand were the price paid for being overrun in the Troll Claws while on assignment. He is definitely not a finesse warrior and his weapons illustrate that as his great axe is strapped across his back. Bruil was born to drifter parents and spent his childhood moving from city to city. The son of a carpenter, his earliest memories were of assisting his father and swinging a hammer. His father was a bruising, uncaring sort and Bruil went his own way as a teenager. He wound up in Waterdeep with enough money to apprentice himself to a specialty smithy, a red-bearded gnome by the name of Broadnax. It was there that Bruil honed his engineering and heavy weapons skills and where he first signed on with the Black Company as a Sergeant in Lance 5 of the Company.
Bruil Esryk is played by Scott.
Aeges is a few inches under 6' with light brown hair and hazel eyes. His body is solid, and disguises his amazing agility. Aeges maintains a well-groomed, short hairstyle and a clean, close shave. His enjoyment of fun times is known among the company, though he tends to keep a clean reputation within the company itself. Aeges prefers to let loose when out with a few of the officers; something which he has only recently begun to do since his promotion to officer status. Previously Aeges would spend his time either buried in work at the camp, or would go off alone to enjoy some recreation. Aeges enjoys trying new things when letting loose, but will play it more conservative when within the company. Aeges generally prefers to use and wear fine clothing and equipment. A fine royal blue vest is worn over a lighter blue shirt. His recently acquired bracers are always in place, and his fine cloak from the drow rests upon his shoulders. At his left hip rests a long sword and hanging off his belt at the right hip rests his new hand crossbow. Aeges was born and raised in Waterdeep in the Dock ward. He will admit to having a troubled youth, and that he tried to find his way within the church of Waukeen, but it was not until he joined the Black Guard that he actually found an opportunity to settle into a respectable path in life.
Aeges is played by Thom Jones.
Wilhelm Blothers is a touch over 5 feet tall, has reddish brown hair and brown eyes, his slightly pointy ears show that he is not human but his build and strong jaw-bone show that he is not elvish either. Wilhelm has been in the Black Guard since its inception, working his way up the ranks to become an officer.
Wilhelm is played by Chris Dunn.
Japheth Marvel is a human man of slightly less then average height and weight, and while stronger than average, he's not overly muscular and is thus a surprise to the unwary. He is lightly tanned and has short, spiky blonde hair and vibrant dark blue eyes. In combat situations, Japheth wears chain mail armor of Elven make. His preferred weapon is a long sword, but he's also fairly handy with a short bow. He has been striving to improve his weapon skills overall since joining the guard. Japheth tends to wear dull-colored or dark clothing.
Japheth is played by Adrian Harris.
Grenek looms a half a hand over six feet in height, with cropped short black hair and brown eyes. He has a duskish cast to his skin and a fierce visage that has been barely tamed by his human blood. Grenek wears a suit of chainmail armour scavenged off a zhentish, and is armed with a fine longsword and vicious looking dagger. He joined the Black Guard when it was first formed in Waterdeep, serving first with Alazar, whom he backed in protest over Helix's treatment of prisoners. After the raid on the drow, Grenek has been promoted to an officer and is assigned to Lance 3.
